Seminole ISD names Dr. Tabitha Coffman as F.J. Young Elementary Principal

Seminole Independent School District is proud to announce Dr. Tabitha Coffman as F.J. Young Elementary's principal.

The Board of Trustees met on Monday, May 9th to officially approve Coffman as the new principal; which comes as Sherrie Warren retires after 27 years with Seminole ISD.

“I am honored and eager to serve the Seminole community as the principal at F.J. Young Elementary,” stated Coffman. “I look forward to meeting and building relationships with the community members, students, parents, and instructional staff as we work together to build a foundation for future success. My family is ecstatic to join the tribe and be part of such a wonderful community. Thank you for this incredible opportunity!”

Coffman’s public education career began in 2007 at Abilene's Lee Elementary teaching K and 3rd grade. During her approximate ten years at Abilene ISD, she served in a variety of capacities including, Lee Elementary classroom teacher, Instructional Coordinator, AISD English Language Arts Content Specialist, Thomas Elementary School’s Assistant Principal, as well as, the Instructional Coordinator for the campus. Dr. Coffman currently serves as principal and curriculum coordinator for Meadow ISD. Her expertise and experience in literacy coupled with her down-to-earth personality made her rise to the top.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Coffman, her husband, Chase, and son, Klinton, to the TRIBE!
